Updated May 11th, 2021 by Ritwik Mitra: It's honestly amazing to see just how much of a massive improvement Watch Dogs 2 is over its predecessor. Here are 10 of the most useful hacker weapons in Watch Dogs 2. Instead of following the naming conventions used for AK-47, M4A1, or ACR, these hacker weapons go by Goodbye World Shotgun, CTRL-ALT-DEL Launcher, 4N00bs Pistol, etc. The weapons themselves are also brimming with personality. RELATED: 5 Reasons We're Excited for Watch Dogs: Legion (& 5 We Aren't) The youthful community at DedSec, a group of hacktivists, are endowed with some firepower that is exclusively for their use. Heck, Watch_Dogs 2 and many other games have the default crouch bind on a typical crouch key "C".Watch Dogs 2has some wacky and funky characters, with crazy weapons to boot. Aside from the military weapons, there are various hacker-themed weapons to spice up gameplay. I like crouching behind the cover and magically being safe behind the obstacle, Then when I want to shoot I just stand up, in both third and first person shooters. But I didn't like it in Watch_Dogs (unlike u/mikefny in this thread) or Deus Ex: Human Revolution either. Cover system makes more sense in slower stealth games though. Only Splinter Cell I've played is Chaos Theory and I can't say I remember much about it. With a keyboard it just feels annoying having to hold a button, I immediately switch to toggle mode if the game allows it. (Using 2 analog sticks at once? What is this black magic?) When I picked up a controller to play some Fall Guys at a friends house I felt like I'm +50 years old and have never player a video game before. Yeah maybe it's just me being a keyboard gamer when growing up and then never learning to use a controller. So, anyway, that's my super specific controls rant for the day. In that instance, simpler was better).Īs a result, on more than one occasion, I vaulted into danger when I meant to turn a corner during stealth. In addition, A is now the vault button which seems unnecessary with RT doing it in the old games (it's not like there's enough to parkour opportunities for the old system to create problems. However, B is officially designated the leave cover button, so to move around corners, you hit A instead of B. Sometimes I hit B and it doesn't quite respond, especially if moving the analog stick at all. Unfortunately, exiting cover seems inconsistent. You can no longer snap from one cover point to another with a single button-press. As with the older games, you can still exit cover by simply pulling away with the stick. Now B is enter cover (like most games) but only if you get real close. That's what a cover system should be right? It was a little different and I hardly heard anyone acknowledge it, but it was simple, smooth, snappy, and responsive. r/CoOpGaming - A community for co-op gamingĪnyone remember this? In the first two WD games, you'd press A to enter cover and then switch to any cover point you aimed at with your cursor. r/nintendo - Nintendo-specific subreddit for general Nintendo news and discussion R/shouldibuythisgame - Find out what's worth getting.
